Welcome, I'm Melissa Kaye Swaney.

Entrepreneurship has been a driving force throughout my life. Growing up in a family of entrepreneurs, I watched my father build and operate businesses of his own. He believed in taking initiative, creating opportunities, and having the courage to build something from the ground up. One of the most valuable lessons he taught me was to think independently, trust my ideas, and never be afraid to create something new.

Over the years, I have founded, developed, branded, and launched ventures across multiple industries, gaining first-hand experience in business development, marketing, promotions, e-commerce, communication strategy, and digital branding.

As an independent promotions professional, I worked within the music industry, collaborating with artists, record labels, venues, media outlets, and promotional partners. This experience strengthened my skills in branding, audience engagement, marketing strategy, public relations, networking, recruitment, and event promotion.

My entrepreneurial journey has also included developing online stores, building websites, creating marketing campaigns, establishing brand identities, researching markets, conducting competitive analysis, and learning the many components required to bring an idea from concept to execution. I have always believed that if I don't know something, I can learn it. Through research, education, hands-on experience, and persistence, I have continually expanded my skills and adapted to new opportunities.

Whether developing a business, building a brand, creating content, or designing a website, I bring the same mindset to every project: curiosity, creativity, strategic thinking, and a commitment to turning ideas into reality.

Armed with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication in Organizations and a Master of Arts degree in Communication and Leadership, I combine academic insight with real-world experience in branding, website design, social media marketing, content creation, business development, and digital strategy.

I am also pursuing the development of a nonprofit focused on empowering women through education, support, resource navigation, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
